As a VAAS pilot, you will be tasked with flying lifesaving sorties throughout your career, earning awards as well as gaining experience in order to gain promotion as a VAAS pilot.
No previous flying experience is necessary as instruction in Helicopter operations can be given.
For those already experienced helicopter pilots, the public awaits your service as soon as you enlist to VAAS, so please click that JOIN button and start your VAAS career today.
VAAS members are required to have a legal copy of XP-11, P3D, FSX or MSFS2020. It should be noted that due to the nature of the available MODS and software used in VAAS, the ONLY flight simulation platform that will able you to create and fly Air Ambulance Missions is currently X-Plane 11. FSX, P3D and MSFS2020 can be used but pilots will have to plan and create their own scenarios. One idea may be to monitor the AA Roadwatch website and plan flights as any real world incidents occur on there, thereby giving some realism to your VAAS flying duties.
A freeware XP-11 helicopter is readily available from rotorsim, the link can be found on the Fleet page.
There are several excellent payware helicopters also available that will greatly enhance your enjoyment of flying with VAAS, with purchase links located on the Fleet page.
Promotion and awards await those VAAS pilots who embark on what will be a challenging but rewarding career as a Virtual Air Ambulance Pilot.
I hope you will join us to help the Virtual world survive those accidents waiting to happen, at the same time supporting a great cause which is the Charity Scenery Project.
